So what has been up since my last post about VR..
There were some rumours spread around the internet of the band breaking up and shit like that but they continued their tour thru Europe.
Their last stop was gonna be Holland! And guess what? I bought my ticket in December so I went to see them on 1st of April. Great show.. lousy fucking support act.. Fucking hell.. they sucked so hard!
But anyhow back to VR.. they played fucking great and at first sight I didnt think this was a band breaking up they were runnin around the stage like they always do and they sounded good. Though halfway thru the show I saw Scott gettin’ something to drink at the drumkit and while he was there, Matt looked the other way as did Scott.. And when Scott walked away from the kit, Matt looked at towards same point again..
They played for about two hours with Slither at the end.. I figured I could better get to the back of the hall if I wanted to get home on time.. So at the end of Slither I took one last picture of the band.. wich turned out to be a picture containing the very last note Scott will ever sing in Velvet revolver.. ‘Cause the next day I found out Scott either left the band or he got kicked out..

On April 1, 2008, Velvet Revolver founding members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner announced that they are parting ways with singer Scott Weiland. “This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn’t 100% committed to either,” said Slash. “Among other things, his increasingly erratic on-stage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on.” Slash told the Daily Star (UK) that “There will be a third album. We don’t know how or when but the core four guys will continue.”
On April 2, 2008, Scott Weiland released a statement via an email to MTV, striking back at his former bandmembers and clarifying his position regarding the band and his reunion with the Stone Temple Pilots.
On April 3. 2008, Slash revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone: “There’s some people, but it’s really premature to start naming names. We actually worked with a guy, I won’t mention his name, before we left to go to the UK and there just wasn’t enough to break him in, so we’re gonna work with him again some more, and maybe some other guys as well.”
On April 22. 2008, Slash also revealed that they are using the web to audition for singers. “The band is actually talking about building a Web site (and) doing some auditions via that, so that’s been something that’s developing at this point,” guitarist Slash told Billboard, noting that it should be happening “in the next month or so.”
